Statement on Scholarly or Artistic Work
Christy Holmes (she/her) is an Associate Professor of Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies at ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ with areas of focus in intersectional and decolonial ecopedagogies; ecofeminisms and environmental justice; Chicana and Latinx studies; WGSS field formation, and interdisciplinary research methodologies. Her first book, Ecological Borderlands: Body, Nature, and Spirit in Chicana Feminism (University of Illinois Press, 2016) brought all of these topics together and she is completing a book on the urgency of integrating environmental feminist analyses of climate justice across environmental studies and WGSS curricula.
